Bob has maintained a strong connection to the Town of the Blue Mountains since the 1990s. Drawn to the region’s natural landscape and community character, he and his wife, Cathy, became property owners in 2000 and established their permanent residence in Thornbury in 2016.

Bob has an extensive record of community involvement and leadership. His service includes membership in the Rotary Club of Thornbury-Clarksburg, directorship with the Northeast Grey Health Clinics, and past leadership roles with the Blue Mountain Jozo Weider Ski Racing Club and the Blue Mountain Village Association. He has also served as President of three condominium associations and chaired the NHL Awards Dinner for several years. These roles demonstrate his commitment to collaborative service and his ability to work effectively with diverse organizations.

In addition to his volunteer contributions, Bob brings significant professional experience. His career began in the technology sector, where he held senior leadership positions as an IT consultant and corporate executive. He later transitioned to commercial real estate, establishing a successful advisory practice. His background has strengthened his expertise in financial management, communication, project oversight, and governance.

Bob’s longstanding engagement with the community, combined with his professional experience, has provided him with a clear understanding of the issues and opportunities facing the Town of the Blue Mountains. He remains committed to supporting thoughtful planning, transparent processes, and a sustainable future for the community. Bob’s priorities include:

  • Bob emphasizes responsible spending, transparent budgeting, and careful evaluation of municipal projects. He supports assessing all expenditures against community priorities and long-term financial impacts to maintain high-quality services while protecting taxpayers.

  • Bob advocates for clear goals, realistic budgets, defined timelines, and consistent monitoring for all municipal projects. Transparent reporting and early risk identification help keep projects on track and ensure they deliver lasting value for residents and businesses.

  • To achieve the first two objectives, Bob supports a Council that works from clear priorities, measurable goals, and a long-term vision for the Town of the Blue Mountains. Decisions should be guided by community needs, solid planning, and regular progress reviews to ensure resources are used effectively and commitments are carried out.
