George is a proud Thornbury resident, homeowner, and year-round member of the Blue Mountains community who believes local government should put residents first.

George is running for Town Council to protect what makes this community special: responsible spending, thoughtful growth, and a strong voice for local families, seniors, and small businesses.

Throughout his career, George has helped organizations protect the public interest by uncovering fraud, improving financial accountability, and standing up to political interference. A Certified Fraud Examiner and Canadian Securities Certificate holder, he brings decades of real-world experience working with business and public leaders in Canada and internationally.

George’s expertise has been recognized by media outlets including CNN, The Guardian, The Globe and Mail, and CTV. But what matters most to him is using that experience here at home to deliver practical, honest leadership for the people of the Blue Mountains. As a councillor, he will focus on three clear priorities.

  • With more than 20 years of international experience in financial due diligence and anti-fraud work, George knows how to ask tough questions, challenge wasteful spending, and protect the public’s money. As a councillor, he will:

    • Protect taxpayer dollars from waste, corruption, and mismanagement.

    • Fight for transparent, responsible spending so residents can trust where their money is going.

    • Stand against costly decisions that drive up taxes and place more pressure on families and local businesses.

  • Blue Mountains is growing, and residents deserve leadership that will protect the community’s character while planning responsibly for the future. George will work to make sure growth strengthens the town instead of changing what people love about it:

    • Protect farmland and support balanced growth that respects the Blue Mountains’ rural character and quality of life.

    • Support small businesses by cutting red tape and backing thoughtful development that fits the community.

    • Champion housing options and long-term care for seniors so longtime residents can remain in the community they helped build.

  • George believes good local government starts with showing up, listening, and being accountable to residents year-round. As a full-time resident and committed community member, he will:

    • Meet with residents, community groups, and non-profits throughout the year—not just at election time.

    • Be accessible and responsive when residents have questions, concerns, or ideas.

    • Show up consistently for council meetings, community discussions, and the decisions that shape the town’s future.
