June, a resident since 2010, is seeking re-election to continue providing the pragmatic, thoughtful, and professional leadership our Town needs.
As our community faces slowing growth, increasing infrastructure demands, and growing financial pressures on families, she understands the importance of evaluating options carefully and considering the long-term impact of every decision.
Throughout her current term, June has built a reputation for showing up, being prepared, asking the tough questions, exploring alternatives, and ensuring major decisions are thoroughly understood before committing taxpayer dollars. Her approach is grounded in due diligence, accountability, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for residents.
She remains dedicated to listening to the community, ensuring residents' voices are heard, and making certain that taxpayer dollars deliver the value they are intended to provide.
With important initiatives already underway and new challenges ahead, June is seeking re-election to help keep the Town moving forward through responsible decision-making, sound financial stewardship, and a focus on measurable results over empty promises.
Throughout her professional career, June has overseen multi-million-dollar budgets, managed risk, led organizational change, and ensured decisions were supported by evidence, strong governance, and fiscal accountability. Those same principles continue to guide her work on Council.

Pressing Priorities

My commitment to financially disciplined infrastructure ensures that the KPMG recommendations are fully implemented, measured, and held to account. Therefore, when the town commits to a project for our community, it will be delivered on budget and on time by replacing arbitrary funding guesses with a rigorous, staged approval pipeline. Concurrent to this, we will explore establishing a publicly owned municipal corporation to manage high-risk infrastructure assets at an arm’s-length from political cycles

June is committed to safeguarding the area's natural heritage by ensuring that ecological preservation and tree protection are central considerations in growth and development decisions. She understands that the health of our environment directly affects everything from flood mitigation and water management to tourism, quality of life, and the long-term prosperity of our community. June is also a board member of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority

Drawing on six years as a volunteer with a Social Finance and Housing group and her recent work moderating three online panel discussions on Community Wealth models, she actively supports leveraging public-private collaborations and social capital to expand attainable housing choices that support local workers, young families, and long-term economic stability.

June prioritizes open, participatory government where community engagement actively shapes policy decisions, and residents feel heard in her role as Chair of the Accountability and Transparency Advisory Committee. Through standardized reporting, clear performance indicators, and dedicated committee leadership, she ensures Council decisions remain transparent, traceable, and fully accountable to the community.

Drawing on her extensive healthcare background, being Chair of the Family Physician Recruitment Working Group has supported two new family doctors setting up practice. Her strategic focus continues to expand local healthcare capacity, ensuring residents have timely access to essential primary care services. June is a member of the NorthEast Grey Health Clinics Board.

As an active outdoor enthusiast and former resort worker, June understands the vital role that recreational amenities, active trail networks, and local culture play in community wellbeing and identity. She supports balanced management strategies—such as carrying capacity studies and destination management—that protect local culture while enriching tourism offerings.
